St. James Preschool is governed by the preschool board, which oversees policy making. The board reports to the Church Council of St. James UMC and is made up of representatives from both the church and the preschool family. For a complete list of preschool board members, please see below.
The preschool director oversees the daily operation of the preschool, ensuring that it meets accreditation guidelines and the needs of students,parents, and teachers. The director maintains professional relationships with educational and community organizations as well as agencies that have a special interest in children and families.
St. James Preschool teachers have experience working with preschool age children. They participate in continuing education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
